Iris has been passionate about film and photography for as long as she can remember. As a kid, she was always filming with her parents' camcorder (do people have those anymore??). It was just a hobby of hers until a friend asked if she would film her cousin's wedding in 2015. After watching a few "how-to" videos on YouTube and purchasing some basic equipment, Iris filmed her first wedding using a GoPro and iPhone. After totally falling in love with wedding videography, Iris decided to invest in her first DSLR camera. Through word of mouth, she filmed five weddings in 2016, then a whopping 15 weddings in 2017 - and the rest is history. 

When Iris is not behind a camera, she is working as a full time occupational therapist and sewing custom baby/toddler clothing (Stitchedbyiris). When she has free time, Iris enjoys skiing, pickle ball, watching trashy reality TV, and eating nachos or ice cream. Iris has a  25 pound cat named Tuxedo, which inspired the videography package names for filmsbyiris.
